For parents and guardians

Help your student find direction
and build real experience.

You can’t make the decisions for them. You can give them a system and a chance to build something real. AOTC teaches college students what college doesn’t, for free, and the Student Blueprint Fellowship helps them build a portfolio project with a mentor.

What parents worry about

The things AOTC works on

Grades and study habits

Pillar 04 replaces rereading with study methods that stick, and shows students how to build relationships with professors.

Time and procrastination

Pillar 06 teaches weekly planning, prioritizing and deep focus, so deadlines stop becoming emergencies.

Money

Pillar 10 covers budgeting, emergency funds and avoiding debt, the basics most students never learn.

Direction

Pillars 01, 02 and 12 help students figure out what they actually want and write a plan for it.

Confidence and setbacks

Pillars 03 and 05 help with self-doubt, comparison and bouncing back from a bad grade or rejection.

Experience

The Fellowship gives them a real portfolio project, mentorship and a credential to show colleges and employers.

Parent questions

What parents ask

Is the Fellowship a job or internship?

No. It’s an unpaid educational program. Students learn a skill, build their own project and get feedback from a mentor. They don’t work for AOTC, and no job is promised.

What will I see about my student’s progress?

With your student’s consent, a short update at week 6 and week 12: milestones completed and how their project is going.

How old does my student need to be?

18 or older. You can pay on their behalf.

Is this affiliated with my student’s college?

No. AOTC is an independent program.

Give them a plan, and something real to show for it.
